Initiate a mentoring/accountability relationship/coach, preferably from the sending church. If not starting as a Daughter Work or being “sent,” select three proven overseers for pastoral accountability and support (these may also become your temporary Board of Directors).

Be in prayer and seek advice concerning your church plant core team. A Core Team (ideally 6-12 people) fully commits to join the church-planting endeavor as long-term (beyond Launch) pillar leaders. Ideally, this team comes from the “mother” or “sending” church. Note: A Core Team differs from a Launch Team.

Conduct monthly meetings: prayer, vision cast, and train.

Set expectations for tithes, offerings, attendance, evangelization, and teaching Home Bible Studies.

Develop Position Descriptions for all core team members.
